This morning, I lacked the self discipline and motivation to do my  morning routine of stretches. I follow an online series of yoga routines that usually starts my day on the right paw. But today, I found myself needing some extra motivation. So I lay in bed, listening to my body. My hood came to mind. The idea of wearing my hood during yoga intrigued me enough, to get up out of bed.

I am unbelievably curious about sensations and it can be a driving force at times in my decisions. Putting my hood on wasn’t enough, pup had to feel the yoga mat and see the room first. She hadn’t been out for a week or so, due to intense work tasks that needed my attention..

This morning,  I also tried a new yoga sequence and I had to giggle as the video focused on “..being in the body.. being in the moment.. just being”, which pup just loved! I felt calm and present, felt the smile on my face bloom throughout my body. Pup experiencing each moment of movement with so much joy.  I felt my motivation and drive return, enjoying my morning with giggles and happy mood.


I guess what I’m trying to say is, you’re not alone. When your get up n go has got up and left, get in touch with your inner pup and play a game of fetch.
